Feeling Crafty

I almost choked when I saw the price tag on a yoga mat strap that I was coveting a few weeks ago. Even on sale, it was still about $20 more than I wanted to pay for a strip of fabric! So I took myself down to my favorite fabric store and spent about $20 on 4 yards of fabric, enough to make six yoga straps!

It took me about an hour to remember how to thread my sewing machine correctly and get the bobbin in right, but a few Wiki-How articles later, my yoga-mat-strap was complete!

Please note my loyal sewing assistant, the best Downward Dog do'er I know, Harry, my very good dog, posing and ready for his blog debut.

When I'm in my first hot class later today and feeling like a total and complete wuss, I will remember this moment of triumph and think, at least I have an amazing yoga strap.
